Breast cancer is a common illness and is feared by many women. However, breast cancer might possibly be helped to be prevented with some easy actions. First, there are common chemicals that a woman should consider trying to avoid if she does not want to develop breast cancer. These chemicals include flame retardants and air pollution from diesel exhaust. A woman can also drastically improve her diet in order to help develop cancer-fighting agents in the body. Eating tips include avoiding sugar, limiting protein and increasing healthy fats, avoiding genetically modified foods, and avoiding drinking alcohol. Other lifestyle recommendations include, but are not limited to, avoiding wearing underwire bras, regularly getting a full night’s sleep, and getting plenty of vitamin D. Preventing cancer is a complex mechanism, but with these tips, a healthy lifestyle may hopefully be associated with a decreased risk for breast cancer.
Key Takeaways:
-
- Data suggests that a staggering 90% of breast cancer cases arise due to environmental rather than genetic effects.
-
- Parabens is one of an array of normal, household chemicals, linked with a heightened risk of experiencing breast cancer by the users.
-
- In the case of parabens, which have been shown to provoke estrogenic activity, one study revealed that 99% of the cancerous tissues examined had parabens.
“An estimated 90 percent of Americans have flame-retardant chemicals in their bodies, and many studies have linked them to human health risks, including liver, kidney, testicular, and breast cancers.”
