Vertigo is a condition which can cause debilitating dizziness due to crystals which normally cap the ear canals dislodging and moving around. Vertigo may possibly be treated with certain movements as well as medications. When Dr. Carol Foster developed vertigo, she developed a new maneuver that has been successful in treating vertigo. The maneuver involves sitting on the knees, tilting the head back, and putting the hands on the floor out in front. Then put the hands on the floor and tuck in the chin, tilting the head to one side until the dizziness is gone. It can be repeated every fifteen minutes until the vertigo is gone.
- Vertigo is caused when the crystals that cap the inner ear canals get dislodged and move around in the canal.
- There are several physical maneuvers and medical treatments for vertigo which can cause debilitating dizziness.
- Dr. Carol Foster discovered the Half Somersault Maneuver when she suffered from vertigo herself.
“This form of vertigo is triggered by certain head movements as a crystal buildup shifts in the inner ear canals.”
